I am in sunny Florida and have been working hard to relax. Yes, that is a challenge for me to just let go and take time for me. So I am practicing what I tell many of you and doing some self-care. Therefore, not to stress myself out trying to write a blog today and just ask you to pray for me that my time this week is everything I need it to be.

Help, I Am Bitter and Angry
Morning friends, I just returned from attending the American Association of Christian Counselors Conference in Nashville. It was an amazing event with over 7,000 Christian leaders from all over the world. I spoke twice on my new book and had lots of opportunities to talk with people…
My husband tells me I have to confess my disrespect before he will take me back. I’m so tired of this!
Hi Friends, I finally posted my pictures of Alaska on both my regular face book page as well some slightly different ones on my facebook fan page. I’m pleased that I figured it out all by myself. Even Donna, my office manager commented that she was proud I did it without her. Also if you…
Topic: My adult daughters verbally abuse me. How can I get them to stop?
Hello friends, Thank you so much for your prayers for my week away and the speaking event this past weekend at Cowgirls of Faith in Texas. It was a great time of fellowship and ministry and I felt your prayers throughout my speaking times. God is good. Here is a picture of the wonderful music…
I’m glad that you are getting that rest. You are well deserving. I think we as women often don’t feel right unless we are doing. We need time to celebrate life and the beauty that God has given us in this world. It is ok. The rest of the world will cope for a few days. I guarantee we will all be here when you get back
Enjoy the sunshine. Wave at my daughter who lives in Orlando if you pass by that area.
Brenda – I had to laugh when you said you’d still be here when I get back. My husband was the one who insisted I didn’t need to write a blog this week. He said, “Don’t you get a week off?” Of course, but writers always worry that those who read won’t be back. Thanks for your encouragement to let it go. It is God’s blog and not mine.
I’m always glad to help and encourage,Leslie. I’m sure it was God’s design, not mine.
you go, girl! enjoy every second … it truly is ok! and needed, yes?
thanks LInda – I did need it.
Hooray for self care! Hooray for pedicures! (Lovely toes.)
The pedicure was the first part of my “vacation” but it was lovely and relaxing.
yeaa Miss leslie, take the time… I am so happy for you…the surf is relaxing to hear, the smell is cleansing and the warmth of the sand is comforting. just enjoy yourself cuz god is in control (and I often forget that)…yeaa for you…janet
Thanks Janet, It was just what I needed. Warmth, sunshine, ocean and rest. Perfect.
Thank you for modeling what you teach! I’m thankful that you are ‘letting go and taking time to do some self-care’, practicing what you tell many of us.
That shows alot of integrity and great leadership, which I am also learning to implement by reading your materials 🙂
Have a wonderful, refreshing, relaxing and rejuvinating vacation.
Thanks Deb. Even my internet wouldn’t work on vacation which was God’s way of keeping me still and out of “work mode”
Nice, Hope you have a great time! Will lift up prayers for you! If you must feel like you are accomplishing something, maybe think of it as a FAST from busyness 🙂
I have thoroughly enjoyed your articles, posts and blogs thus far but this was by far and large my favorite. All I can say is Go Girl! Well done. Enjoy your week and will be praying for you!
