Need To Relax
Morning friends,
I am in sunny Florida and have been working hard to relax. Yes, that is a challenge for me to just let go and take time for me. So I am practicing what I tell many of you and doing some self-care. Therefore, not to stress myself out trying to write a blog today and just ask you to pray for me that my time this week is everything I need it to be.

Self Compassion Shows Strength – Not Weakness
Morning Friends, I thought I would do something completely different for the blog during the month of July. Instead of answering a reader’s question, I wanted to ask a few questions of my own. I have asked a few different individuals to guest blog their experience in a destructive marriage on how they stayed well,…
How do I recover from gossip that’s ruined our reputation
Our family has been the brunt of gossip by three close family friends. It really hurts. The ripples of them talking is far reaching I our social circle. It’s been devastating. This was three years ago. How do we recover? Gossip is toxic and that’s why the Bible speaks so strongly against it. I’m assuming…
My husband says he’s divorcing me but still wants sex. Do I have to?
Last week we had quite a number of interesting responses to my blog post answering the question of whether or not to give her husband another chance. I even got a response in Chinese although I’m sorry that I can’t read it and don’t know anyone who can translate it for me. But it’s encouraging…

Leslie:
I’m glad that you are getting that rest. You are well deserving. I think we as women often don’t feel right unless we are doing. We need time to celebrate life and the beauty that God has given us in this world. It is ok. The rest of the world will cope for a few days. I guarantee we will all be here when you get back
Enjoy the sunshine. Wave at my daughter who lives in Orlando if you pass by that area.
Brenda
Brenda – I had to laugh when you said you’d still be here when I get back. My husband was the one who insisted I didn’t need to write a blog this week. He said, “Don’t you get a week off?” Of course, but writers always worry that those who read won’t be back. Thanks for your encouragement to let it go. It is God’s blog and not mine.
I’m always glad to help and encourage,Leslie. I’m sure it was God’s design, not mine.
you go, girl! enjoy every second … it truly is ok! and needed, yes?
thanks LInda – I did need it.
Hooray for self care! Hooray for pedicures! (Lovely toes.)
The pedicure was the first part of my “vacation” but it was lovely and relaxing.

Leslie:
Thank you for modeling what you teach! I’m thankful that you are ‘letting go and taking time to do some self-care’, practicing what you tell many of us.
That shows alot of integrity and great leadership, which I am also learning to implement by reading your materials 🙂
Have a wonderful, refreshing, relaxing and rejuvinating vacation.
Deb
Thanks Deb. Even my internet wouldn’t work on vacation which was God’s way of keeping me still and out of “work mode”
Nice, Hope you have a great time! Will lift up prayers for you! If you must feel like you are accomplishing something, maybe think of it as a FAST from busyness 🙂
God Bless!
I have thoroughly enjoyed your articles, posts and blogs thus far but this was by far and large my favorite. All I can say is Go Girl! Well done. Enjoy your week and will be praying for you!
